Continuing its successful track record with local authority projects, Soundcraft has completed further fire door upgrades for high-rise residential towers in London.

Appointed by UK property services group Vallectric for the London Borough of Barnet, Soundcraft’s performance products and installation experience were specified to replace fire resistance doors and screens in communal areas for the 15-storey block at Longford Court and the 10-storey block at Upper Fosters.

Integral to important fire upgrade works being carried out at the towers, which also included a new sprinkler system and fire stopping safeguards, Soundcraft supplied Q-Mark certified 60-minute and 30-minuite doors sets, singles and pairs, both glazed and flush, together with glazed side screens and fanlights.

Working with site management and resident liaison teams to plan efficient installation operations at both high-rise properties, Soundcraft Managing Director Rob Thomson said: “All FD60 and FD30 doors were supplied by our factory, pre-hung and fully-fitted with ironmongery, ensuring door sets are fully compliant and pre-painted to reduce time on site and minimise any potential disruption for tenants.”

Trusted in social housing environments, Soundcraft’s certified fire doors sets are fabricated under the BM TRADA Q-Mark Manufacturing Scheme and fitted under the BM TRADA Q-Mark Installation Scheme.
