Work has been completed at Red Clover Gardens, a residential scheme bringing 157 brand-new homes to the London Borough of Croydon.

Soundcraft teams have successfully provided all main entrance screens and secondary entrance doors to five pavilion-style towers at Lion Green Road, located on the site of a former carpark development to create residential space in Coulsdon.

The supply and installation project incorporated Soundcraft’s own aluminium Integrity Doors, which are performance tested to PAS24 standards and SBD certified for enhanced security. Developed to allow communal entrances to be linked to a new or existing access control system with two magnets for locking purposes, the Integrity Door specification was combined with Senior Architectural Systems SF52 structural silicone glazed curtain walling for enhanced thermal performance.

Michael Bishop, Soundcraft’s Commercial Director, said: “Specialist aspects came together for this project. While the entrance screens were specified to be silicone sealed in order to create a seamless appearance, part of the screen required aluminium insulated panels, therefore we incorporated specialist toggle glazed panels to suit the system and also allow integration of the access control panel.”

The scheme, designed by Mary Duggan Architects, was driven by a landscape-led approach to connect with open parkland. It contains retained trees, a bluebell woods, new sensory garden, allotment plots and play zones, helping to promote a sense of communal living with shared open amenity space between apartment clusters.

As part of Soundcraft’s continued commitment to uphold our Secured by Design (SBD) licence, we ensure that products undergo the rigorous testing required to meet specifications outlined by SBD, the official UK Police flagship initiative.
