Soundcraft has successfully manufactured and supplied in excess of 1,000 fire-resistance front entry doors for individual homes throughout 21 tower blocks across the Thamesmead Estate in South London.

Fundamental to this second phase of works delivered by Soundcraft was the crucial Primary Test Evidence for all components to be installed, which also incorporated ironmongery, multipoint lock Secured by Design compliant letterplate, spyhole hinges and drop seal, with glazed fanlights above the frame.

While each 12-storey London tower required focused project management, highlighting Soundcraft’s service capabilities within the social housing sector, Primary Test Evidence heralds the company’s in-house top level manufacturing performance.

Soundcraft products have now been successfully tested for all Primary Test Evidence components at Chiltern Fire,” states Soundcraft’s Managing Director Robert Thomson. “Our dual-orientation door sets; tested opening both towards and away from the furnace, as well as the integration of a side light to the frame either glazed or solid, proves proficient. We can now offer this vital element with our timber doors also performing dual orientation.”
