Soundcraft completed the supply and installation of almost 400 security front entrance doorsets (FEDs) for the Royal Borough of Kingston in June.
The project was phase 1 of a two phase programme totalling over 2000 doors. The specification called for Secured by Design (SBD) FEDs providing FD30 fire resistance coupled with FSC® chain of custody for the doors and frames.
The doors were supplied in a range of colours and had mouldings applied to replicate traditional panelled doors. Multipoint locking was based on the Winkhaus Trulock range.
A major feature of the specification, was the requirement for the doors to be installed under the Exova BM Trada Third Party Certification Scheme for the Installation of Fire Doors: a scheme of which Soundcraft is a leading member.
