Responding to increasing demand for Hybrid composite curtain walling, Soundcraft has made major changes to the layout of its factory.
Originally focussed on joinery and panel door production, the factory in Chelsfield, North Kent, has been re-organised on lean manufacturing principles to maximize output for increasing curtain walling sales. The changes have increased stock holding areas, simplified the flow of materials between machines and created significantly more space for assembly.
The Hybrid curtain walling system combines powder coated re-cycled aluminium externally with PEFC engineered timber internally.
