Soundcraft’s curtain walling order book received a welcome boost recently with a half a million pound order for SCW+ curtain walling and SD doors placed by Morgan Sindall.
The project is at Trumpington College, Cambridge and is due to start in July 2015. Soundcraft expects to be on site for two months.
SCW+ curtain walling is a thermally enhanced aluminium system featuring larger thermal barriers and high performance gaskets. It is a semi-unitised, zone-drained, pressure equalised system that offers a slim 50mm sightline, with a choice of 3 mullion and 4 transom depths. A significant advantage of the SCW+ system is its ability to be fabricated into ladders for quick assembly on site.
The curtain walling will incorporate metal louvres and SD doors, which offer a robust solution for high traffic areas.
