Curtain walling and PAS 24 security testing

Soundcraft have successfully tested their new range of aluminium communal security doors and screens in accordance with PAS 24 (2012).

Of particular note is that the door frame and the sidelight were constructed from curtain wall sections.

Whilst PAS 24 is specifically designed for the testing of doors and windows, the fact that the curtain walling passed the test is significant as it will allow architects and contractors to specify not only PAS 24 (and SBD) tested security doors, but also PAS 24 tested curtain walling.
