Soundcraft is proud to announce the successful achievement of STS202 – BR2 status for the Jack Aluminium TD68 Thermal Commercial Aluminium Door.
STS202 – BR2 is a rigorous security test that incorporates a range of attack tools typically used by ‘professional criminals’ attempting to gain entry during high intensity, focused attacks on both the door set and the glazing unit.
Going way beyond the scope of opportunistic burglary break-ins, this aggressive test surpasses the standard PAS24 pass/fail certification by assessing the product’s resistance against prolonged and sustained attacks on its critical components such as hinges, pivot points, locking systems, glazing and beading.
Following a meticulous audit at Soundcraft’s factory in Kent, where the manufacturing of its test door was observed, both Soundcraft and Jack Aluminium representatives travelled to the West Midlands Element Test Centre to witness the live attack testing in action as the system successfully passed all attack challenges.

Having successfully passed the main door test, Soundcraft also submitted two new glass options for physical attack evaluation. Again, these passed with flying colours, extending the range of approved glazing options available within Soundcraft’s STS202 – BR2 certification scope.
