Built by WW Martin of Ramsgate, Goat Lees Primary School, in Kennington, near Ashford, Kent has won the LABC award for Best Educational Building in the South East.
For the project, Soundcraft supplied internal doorsets, with the doors veneered in European white oak. Most of the doors were FD30, manufactured under the Exova BM Trada Fire Door Manufacturer’s 3rd party Certification Scheme.
In addition, a number of glazed timber screens were provided, plus several sound attenuating or acoustic doorsets, giving Rw30 dB performance.
This project is a good example of Soundcraft’s ability to satisfy demanding requirements with its range of performance doors and screens.
