Terry Marshall has now left the company and retired to be a full-time Grandad, reader, writer etc…
He joined the company in 1991 as Director of Sales & Marketing, becoming Managing Director in 1997. In 2012, he stepped down as MD, handing over to Rob Thomson, concentrating on Sales & Marketing again.

Over his years with the Company Terry has project managed many of the major contracts that Soundcraft has carried out, including Falcon Wharf for Carillion; three front entrance door (FED) replacement schemes for Wandsworth Council; and a major fire door replacement and upgrading scheme for Kingston University.

Terry was instrumental in developing the steel communal security door business, ensuring that Secured by Design was achieved for the Integrity Range (based on STS202 testing), later expanding SBD to cover aluminium and composite windows, doors and curtain walling. He also oversaw the introduction of the Company’s ISO 9001 compliant QMS in 1997 and the adoption of 3rd party certification schemes for fire and security door products and installation.

He was at the forefront of the change from a timber and joinery based business to an increasingly aluminium orientated operation, resulting in the growth of curtain walling as a major component in the Company’s offer.

In more recent years Terry oversaw the development and introduction of a new website, reflecting the changes that have taken place in the Company’s product range, whilst overseeing product testing and certification development.

We wish him well.
