In the past two years we have been working in partnership with Feltham Construction at the prestigious School of St Swithun’s in Winchester, on a £425,000 project creating new kitchens and refurbishing the old, plus adding new classrooms and associated facilities.
Soundcraft’s works involved the design, supply and installation of curtain walling, windows and external doors.
The curtain walling was a combination of the SCW aluminium and the Hybrid Series 3 composite systems. Both systems provide a 25 year external guarantee on the powder coating.
Internally on Hybrid curtain walling PEFC engineered timber creates a ‘warm’ environment. Overall Series 3 composite curtain walling provides low U-values with high environmental benefits, using re-cycled aluminium and 3rd party certified sustainable timber.
To respond to the high traffic of the school, the robust SD aluminium commercial door system provided the perfect solution, with its versatility creating open in and open out, single or double door options.
For the Kitchen SCW curtain walling was used in combination with the SCW Sloping Roof system.
